Luno Now Expands To 35 New Markets



Popular Bitcoin Exchange wallet Luno, who’s headquarters is in London has expanded to 35 new markets across the world.

The popular Wallet company made this announcement via the website, and were quoted as saying ‘We are excited to announce the launch of Luno across several new European markets. This means people from 40 countries around the world can now easily buy, sell and store Bitcoin with Luno.’

Luno completed a USD $9m Series B round, led by Balderton Capital with additional funding by Rand Merchant Investment Holdings and the Digital Currency Group.

Luno operates in Nigeria, Ghana, United Kingdom and other 40 markets across the world; according to reports made available on their blog ”

The funding will be used to make it even easier to buy, store and learn about digital currencies like Bitcoin, in more ways and in more places. This means that our next sprint focuses heavily on improving and refining your digital currency experience, no matter who you are or where you’re from.

It also means that we’ll at the very least be doubling our existing team of 70 and hiring across all units, from engineering and product to business development, customer support and compliance, across all three of our main hubs: our HQ in London, and offices in Singapore and Cape Town.”
